CAEP ANNUAL REPORT DATA

Annual Reporting Measures for CAEP

The Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) outlines four (4) annual reporting measures that are used to provide information to the public on both program impact and program outcomes. These four CAEP reporting measures are:

  1. Measure 1: Completer effectiveness and impact on P-12 learning and development.
  2. Measure 2: Satisfaction of employers and stakeholder involvement.
  3. Measure 3: Candidate competency at program completion.
  4. Measure 4: Ability of completers to be hired in education positions for which they have been prepared.

These four measures are evidenced through the Tennessee Educator Preparation Report Card and Title II reports.

The Tennessee Educator Preparation Report Card uses multiple metrics to provide information about teacher and leader preparation in the state to shine a spotlight on the provider’s strengths and areas to continue to grow. Several aspects of the report card are required by Tennessee General Assembly legislation, including indicators on: placement and retention rates, scores on licensure exams, and teacher effect data based on Tennessee Value-Added Assessment System (TVAAS) scores. The report card also includes other key priority areas for the State Board, including Employment, Provider Impact, Candidate Assessment, and Satisfaction. This information can help providers make program improvements and provide the public with information on important aspects of educator preparation in the state.
