University Leadership

A note from Our President

Welcome to Freed-Hardeman University.

Whether you are discovering FHU for the first time or have been part of our community for years, I am grateful for your interest in this special place.

At Freed-Hardeman, our mission is both simple and meaningful: to help students develop their God-given talents for His glory. Each day, students, faculty, and staff join together in a Christ-centered community where faith, learning, and service shape every part of campus life.

What truly sets Freed-Hardeman apart is not just our programs, facilities, or traditions, it is our people. Here, students are known, valued, challenged, and encouraged. They form lasting friendships, grow in faith, discover their calling, and prepare to make a meaningful impact on the world.

For more than 150 years, God has blessed this institution through the faithfulness and generosity of people who believe in the transformative power of Christian education. We are grateful for that heritage and excited about the opportunities ahead.

As you learn more about Freed-Hardeman, I hope you will see what so many of us have experienced firsthand: a community devoted to academic excellence, spiritual growth, and lives of Christian service.

Thank you for visiting us online. We would be honored to welcome you to campus and share the Freed-Hardeman experience with you in person.

May God bless you, and I hope to see you soon.
