Freed-Hardeman University has released a new and improved version of its Annual Bible Lectureship app, according to FHU Lectureship Director Doug Burleson.

The app has been re-engineered for better performance on both iOS and Android platforms. It allows users to view a full schedule with details, create a custom schedule, view a campus map with all buildings where sessions will be conducted, get walking directions to each location/session, and view all session speakers along with their biographies.

The free app is available at https://www.fhu.edu/lectureship/lectureship-mobile-app. It was designed and engineered and is maintained by local marketing firm Bramblett Group, in collaboration with the FHU’s lectureship committee and IT staff. The members of the developing team are all FHU alumni.

The app features an interactive schedule that can be personalized. In addition to biographical sketches of every speaker, abstracts for every session are available. Users are also able to select those which pique their interest to create a personalized schedule for the week. The app also offers the opportunity for users to provide feedback on their lectureship experience.

“We have been very intentional about improving this aspect of the lectureship experience for our guests,” Burleson said. “We have striven for accuracy and quality.”

The 87th Annual Bible Lectureship is set for Feb. 5-9, 2023, when thousands of visitors are expected for the event. Hundreds of classes and lectures will focus on this year’s theme, “For Such a Time as This: Restoring God’s People in Ezra, Nehemiah and Esther.”

The mission of Freed-Hardeman University is to help students develop their God-given talents for His glory by empowering them with an education that integrates Christian faith, scholarship and service. With locations in Henderson and Memphis, FHU offers associates, bachelor’s, master’s, specialist and doctoral degrees.
