Henderson, Tennessee — (March 21, 2024) — Freed-Hardeman University’s Society of Future Marketers is revving up excitement with its inaugural Freed Speed Car Show Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Henderson Church of Christ, 240 White Ave, Henderson, Tennessee. With live music, contests and food vendors, the day offers something for everyone.

On the morning of the show, participants can register in person from 8:30 until 8:50 a.m. 

There are several categories for the show including: modern, classic, antique, vintage, import, off-road vehicle and unfinished project. 

The organization will donate a portion of the proceeds from the fundraiser to the Friends of the City of Henderson Animal Shelter to help raise funds for a new building. 

“The remainder of the funds will be used to support networking opportunities and visits to marketing firms,” said Barrett Price, president of FHU’s Society of Future Marketers. “There has been a lot of work put into this event by the students, and we are looking forward to seeing the results. We appreciate our sponsors for helping make this event possible and for the time and effort of our volunteers. We aim to make this an annual event and collaborate with a different nonprofit organization each year.”

The Society of Future Marketers at Freed-Hardeman University is a student-led organization for marketing and related field students to use their skills to perform projects for the community. This organization’s purpose is to help students grow their skills, build resumes, build a network with professionals and help connect students with opportunities for jobs or internships.

The mission of Freed-Hardeman University is to help students develop their God-given talents for His glory by empowering them with an education that integrates Christian faith, scholarship and service. FHU offers associates, bachelor’s, master’s, specialist and doctoral degrees.
