Henderson, Tennessee – (Feb. 5, 2024) – Alumni and friends of Freed-Hardeman University are invited to take advantage of an amazing travel opportunity with the relaunch of the alumni travel program. Chris Ramey, director of alumni engagement, will be escorting a group of travelers on a tour of Hawaii March 23 – April 1, 2025. The 10-day trip includes visits to three islands: O’ahu, the Big Island and Maui.
“We’re excited to offer opportunities to see God’s majestic world while in the company of Christians,” Ramey said. “For FHU alumni and friends, the bonding experiences made on these tours through concentrated time together build lifelong memories and connections; this is at the heart of our work in alumni engagement.”
Organized by Collette, a trusted premier travel company, the Hawaiian itinerary includes three days at Prince Waikiki in Honolulu, Hawaii; three days in the Outrigger Kona Resort and Spa in Kona, Hawaii; and three days at the Sheraton Maui Resort and Spa in Lahaina, Hawaii. Some highlights of the tour include visits to Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona memorial, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, a coffee bean farm, a lei making class and a traditional Polynesian luau.
Previous alumni trips have included such destinations as Colonial Williamsburg, New York City, New England, the Canadian Rockies and a western tour of U.S. National Parks. FHU’s Office of Alumni Engagement hopes to continue offering annual travel opportunities if there is sufficient interest.
